Managing Your Production with Updates

Your manufacturer and your team can keep everyone informed of progress in the PRODUCTION UPDATES section of the PO. Here you can respond to any questions or issues that might arise and have a documented record of your interaction. You can also coordinate to send updates to your shoppers from here, in case there is a delay in production.

Adding Production Updates

To add a Product Update, navigate to the PRODUCTION UPDATES tab of your Production Order. Once there, click the ADD button in the top center of the page. Select the corresponding update with any notes and images you would like to add.

Once you click, SEND NOTIFICATION the update will be added to the production timeline and your team members and manufacturer will get an update.

If you are selling on the Nineteenth Amendment Marketplace, the following UPDATE NOTIFICATIONS generate automatic emails to customer:

  • "Materials in"

  • "Sewing Started"

  • "Sewing Complete"

These are great because the keep the customer in the loop in terms of what is happening in the production process and get them excited for the delivered product. Please note, no images uploaded are sent to customers at this time.

Please note, once you add an update, it cannot be deleted so make sure the update is one that is complete and accurate!

Reporting an Issue to your Manufacturing Partner

Firstly, you should ALWAYS call your partner for any major issues.

For secondary issues or questions, one of the production update options is ALERT/ISSUE. If you want to alert you manufacturer to a potential issue we recommend adding the ALERT/ISSUE update and follow up with a call if you deem necessary. 

Alerts are better used for delays in shipping or other secondary issues. They can also be used by the manufacturer to ask you questions or clarify if something is unclear.
